Good Morning, Vietnam is a 1987 American war-comedy film -loosely- based on the experiences of the AFRS radio DJ Adrian Cronauer.
Set in the Saigon of 1965, during the Vietnam War the film stars Robin Williams as a radio DJ on Armed Forces Radio Service (AFRS), who proves hugely popular with the troops serving in South Vietnam, but infuriates his superiors with what they call his "irreverent tendency", or so the ones in charge of the AFRS...
